Denis Borovich

Denis Borovich was born in 2000 in Velyka Lepetykha, Ukraine. He began studying art at an early age, attending art school alongside his general education.

After initially pursuing studies in chemistry and biology in Kherson, he recognized that drawing was not a distraction, but a necessity. In 2016 he fully returned to art, continuing his education in Decorative and Applied Arts at the Kherson Art School.

In 2019, Denis moved to Poland, where he reshaped both his life and artistic path. He enrolled at the Institute of Design in Koszalin without knowing the language and graduated in 2024 with high honors, defending his diploma in Polish.

His current practice moves toward grotesque imagery infused with elements of surrealism and portraiture. Through distortion, symbolism, and expressive form, Denis explores psychological tension, identity, and transformation. His works often balance between the familiar and the unsettling, inviting the viewer into spaces where beauty and discomfort coexist.

Due to the war in Ukraine, many of his early works are no longer accessible. The archive presented here begins with works created after relocating to Poland.
